The Tanner Seebaum Foundation is a volunteer-based organization. We dedicate our efforts to fund promising research. We raise funds in many ways including special events, donations from individuals, families, and by corporations which are often through matching programs. Sadly, we also receive funds in memory of those who have passed away which are often children who have lost their battle to Ependymoma tumors. Individuals and small groups support TSF through organizing small fundraisers which have included marathon running teams and school based campaigns. We are supported by businesses who have selected TSF as a charity of choice during holidays, during September’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and May’s Brain Tumor Awareness Month. We have benefitted from smaller fundraisers organized by supporters such as selling Brain Cancer Awareness t-shirts, painting a piece of pottery at Color Me Mine Boulder called Painting, Pottery & Paying it Forward and many others. TSF receives ongoing donations through Amazon Smiles, iGive and HaloCard which direct a portion of all purchases towards the foundation.
During Tanner’s last year of life, his mother and grandmother began a hobby of collecting glass pieces and turning them into “glass flowers.” What started as art therapy has become a successful fundraiser and has raised nearly $40,000 for TSF.
