Stephanie Seebaum,  President & Treasurer

Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and is a Licensed Social Worker. She is Tanner Seebaum's mother and the founder of The Tanner Seebaum Foundation. She has worked as an adult felony probation officer and serves on several charity boards. She currently serves on the Children’s Hospital Foundation's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders Board, Children's Hospital Foundation's Development Committee, Children's Hospital Foundation's Gala Corporate and Steering Committees and is the treasurer for Colorado Kids Cancer Awareness - Pediatric Task Force.  With her husband, Stephanie has raised over 4 million dollars to support cancer treatment at The Children's Hospital in Denver. As President, she will volunteer her time to perform organizational duties, general communication, general administration, accounting, scheduling, donor solicitations, manage the website, communicate with board members and donors, and prepare documents, materials, and board information. Stephanie will also direct the Major Gifts Campaign for the foundation.

Matthew Seebaum, Vice President & Secretary

Matt holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, is an author, researcher, public school administrator, and consultant. He is considered to be a national expert on developing educational strategies for children who live in poverty. Matt is the father of Tanner Seebaum and has been highly involved in the non-profit sector for almost 10 years. Matt and his family have raised over 4 million dollars to directly impact high quality health care for children with cancer at The Children's Hospital in Denver. As Vice President, he will volunteer his time to provide general administration, run board meetings, provide board oversight, solicit potential donors, develop grant RFP’s and criteria, and financial oversight.

Julie Dunn, Board Member

Julie holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Kansas in Journalism. She is employed by First Data. Julie joined the board in May, 2010, but she is not new to TSF. Julie has been volunteering since our inception and has been a huge asset. Philanthropy is very important to Julie. As a board member, Julie will continue to help with all of our events, procure auction items and solicit donors.

Kristin Trauernicht, Board Member

Kris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Psychology and has worked in the communications and sales fields before becoming a full time mother of three children. Kris is also active in supporting The Denver Zoo and helps ensure that underserved children, adults, and families have access to the Zoo's educational programs. Her voluntary contribution to the foundation board will be through her level-headed decision making ability and listening skills. Kris will serve as a general officer and her duties will include board discussion participation, initiative feedback, solicitation of donors, and participatory decision making.

Maria Chioros, Board Member

Maria was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She has done extensive volunteer work for The Children's Hospital in Denver. She holds a Master of Arts Degree from Northwestern University. Maria worked at Northwestern Hospital for several years following graduation, where she came in constant contact with children and adults stricken with debilitating diseases. Maria returned to Colorado and ran a business along with her husband and parents, before becoming a full-time mother of four. On May 3, 2010 her own four-year-old son, Ari, was diagnosed with an Ependymoma. In joining the TSF board, Maria hopes to be a force in contributing to the Foundations's resources, donors, and events. Maria is committed to helping the TSF raise money to facilitate the research that will someday lead to a cure for pediatric brain tumors.

Patricia Johnston, Board Member 

Patricia holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin in Family Resources and Consumer Science. For the past 18 years, Patricia has worked as a realtor and as a broker/owner of Huntington Properties, LLC. She is very active in the community and served as a volunteer and board member for the PTO at her son’s elementary school. Patricia is the mother of Nicholas, who is one of Tanner Seebaum’s best friends. She has been through much of Tanner’s disease and treatment with him and his family.
