About Donations

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, we are bound by many laws and regulations that act as safeguards for donors to assure your donations are being spent in the spirit of your intentions. The Foundation Board of Directors fully supports our mission and it is important for potential donor to know this foundation pays absolutely no salaries. We subsist on a volunteer-only basis and we are able to do this because the people closest to The Tanner Seebaum Foundation lend their talents, skills, and time to make a difference in the lives of children, like Tanner who have battled or are battling this terrible disease. We are very blessed to have such a committed group of supporters — but we are always looking for more. Please help us spread our message!

We accept donations of all monetary denominations, in-kind donations, and material value donations. Put quite simply, the more money we are able to raise the more research grants we are able to give out. We also have a unique Annual Giving program that allows you to make a quarterly donation — four times per year. We can also give you more information about this with your inquiry.

Lastly, it is important donors and supporters know the philosophy of this foundation is to do everything possible to get the maximum amount of funds to the end-user — which in this case is the doctors and researchers who are working on promising work in the field of finding more effective treatments and eventually a cure for pediatric cancers of the brain and spine. The Tanner Seebaum Foundation pledges to our donors that we will do everything in our power to keep all costs to a minimum. We rely heavily on volunteers, in-kind donations, and the expertise of dedicated people who give their services for free and/or at significantly discounted prices. This being said, our goal is to keep our operating expenses at or below 10% of our total annual budget. This is a tall order, but extremely important — especially as we work over the next three years to build our financial base and grow our seed money through fiscal responsibility and wise investment strategies.
